It's never a good idea to make public predictions, but alas, I feel compelled to do so. My predictions for 2018 are as follows:

1) The United States will engage in very significant air and missile military actions against North Korea BEFORE MARCH 20, 2018.

2) North Korea will retaliate against US Military action with missile barrages against the US mainland, Guam, Seoul, South Korea and Tokyo Japan.

3) Upon launch of those missiles, the US, South Korea and Japan will declare war upon North Korea.

4) China will honor its Treaty to defend North Korea.

5) There will be a severe military clash between China and the US both in North Korea and in the oceans surrounding it. The US is likely to lose two aircraft carriers.

Liberals, in general, love the Census.  It's full of questions about race and sex, the common fault lines by which liberals love to divide society.  They are even adding a question to the next Census to find out your favorite kind of sex, or approximation of it.

But one question liberals don't want to know is whether the person answering the census is an American.  They fear that if there is a question about citizenship, that illegal aliens won't fill it out.

The year 2017 unfolded into a massive surprise to liberals, who fully expected that before Christmas we would (a) all die in a nuclear war over President Donald Trump's tweets or (b) be swearing in President Mike Pence after Trump was impeached or petulantly quit because the news media were full of meanies.

More than ever, the media see themselves as valiant tellers of truth. More than ever, thanks to the man to whose destruction they are committed, most Americans peg them as emotionally intense — putting it nicely — leftists.

As the year began, Barack Obama exited the national stage. His ultra-liberal reign ended almost exactly as it began: with weeping over his wonderfulness — literally.

Take NBC's now-disgraced Matt Lauer, who said on Jan. 13: "President Obama surprising his vice president, Joe Biden, with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. ... So I'm glad there were no cameras in my apartment yesterday 'cause I was sitting there just weeping. I just burst out crying when I saw that moment. It was incredible." Oh-so-sensitive Lauer was exposed as a crude alleged subordinate-pawing sexual harasser and fired in late November.

MSNBC's Chris Matthews still has chills and thrills up his leg over Obama. He asked rhetorically on Jan. 18: "Is there a husband, a father, that we would wish more as a model for our sons, for our sons-in-law to have and raise our grandchildren? Is there anyone who carries himself better in word, in sentiment, in temperament, in optimism?"

In equal measure, they cannot stomach the fact that Donald Trump is president.

Matthews came seriously unglued on Inauguration Day. He thought Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, was already on his way out. "It's hard ... to fire your son-in-law," he declared, "but Mussolini had a great solution to that. He had him executed." Rachel Maddow replied, "Jesus, Chris!" Matthews added, "So if I were Jared, I'd be a little careful."

CNN anchorman Don Lemon couldn't hide his feelings after Trump's Aug. 22 speech in Phoenix. "He's unhinged," he said. "It's embarrassing — and I don't mean for us, the media, because he went after us, but for the country. This is who we elected president of the United States? ... There was no gravitas. There was no sanity there."

Lemon's colleague Reza Aslan hosted a CNN program on religion until he tweeted this message about the president on June 3 after a London terrorist attack: "This piece of s—- is not just an embarrassment to America and a stain on the presidency. He's an embarrassment to humankind."

On MSNBC on Nov. 30, Joe Scarborough claimed Trump was literally suffering from dementia. "You have somebody inside the White House that the New York Daily News says is mentally unfit, that people close to him say is mentally unfit, that people close to him during the campaign told me had early stages of dementia," he said.

The folks at PBS (When will Republicans ever defund this mockery of journalism?) thought Trump's crazy religious backers had distinguished ancestors. NPR host Kurt Andersen declared that America's Founding Fathers were "a theocratic cult of religious nuts" in an interview with then-PBS host Charlie Rose. Rose could only respond: "Right. Right." That is why no one will miss Rose, who always had a soft touch for liberal guests and a tight squeeze (or, some say, an open robe) for his female employees.

Let's close with the late-night comedians, who double down on the media's arrogance. On CBS, Stephen Colbert told the president: "You're the glutton with the button. You are a regular Gorge Washington. You are the presi-dunce, but you're turning into a real prick-tator." He added, "the only thing your mouth is good for" is acting as a holster for Russian President Vladimir Putin's penis.

That's how classy 2017 was, because there's one thing at which liberals feel they excel: unifying the country with civil discourse.

The Thomas fire, which has torn through Ventura and Santa Barbara counties in recent weeks, has become California's largest in recorded history, officials announced Friday.

The fire has burned some 273,400 acres of land, including forests and buildings, in Southern California, according to The Associated Press – making it 154 acres larger than the deadly Cedar fire in San Diego in 2003.

The Thomas fire barreled through much of Ventura County before spreading into Santa Barbara County, fueled by warm, dry winds.

The fire burned hundreds of homes and prompted mass evacuations. The fire is now 65 percent contained, according to the AP.

Conditions have improved in recent days, with cooler, more-humid winds lessening the threat to homes and other buildings.

The Thomas fire was just one of a series of wildfires that burned in Southern California in December, though it was the largest.

Earlier this year, wildfires engulfed wine country in Northern California, consuming more than 100,000 acres and prompting 106,000 people to evacuate.

Cardinal Bernard Law, the former Boston archbishop who resigned in disgrace during the Catholic Church's sex abuse scandal, has died, the Vatican confirmed. He was 86.

Law died in Rome, where he had served as archpriest of the Papal Liberian Basilica of St. Mary Major after he was forced to resign in 2002 as archbishop of Boston.

Law's name became emblematic of the scandal that continues to trouble the church and its followers around the globe after it was revealed the he and other bishops before him had covered for pedophile priests in the Boston Archdiocese.

Law at the time apologized during a news conference to victims of abuse by a priest, John Geoghan, who had been moved from parish to parish, despite Law's knowledge of his abuse of young boys. Law insisted Geoghan's abuse was in the past.

Geoghan was eventually convicted of indecent assault and battery on a 10-year-old boy.

Law never faced criminal sanctions for his role in allowing abusive priests to remain in church parishes.

The scandal reverberated through the church, exposing similar allegations worldwide that compromised its moral authority and led to years of multimillion-dollar settlements.

The Vatican early Wednesday issued a one-line news release, reading, "Cardinal Bernard Law died early this morning after a long illness."

If only we had further scrutiny of overseas arrivals, the 9/11 attacks may have been prevented.

Shortly after my weekly talk-radio show began airing last night at 9:00 PM eastern US time, I began to address covert intelligence gathered by my former colleagues in the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force.  Almost immediately upon commencing that talk, my web site came under Distributed Denial of Service Attack, which took FIVE load-balanced servers offline.

My tech guys began looking-into it about 9:45 PM last night and the attack was not mitigated until 8:06 AM this morning.  Below is a link to the audio archive of my radio show, which aired in its entirety despite the web site being taken offline.  It is FREE for all to hear, and there's plenty to listen to:

Intercepted radical Islamic "chatter" is calling for armed attacks upon CHURCHES beginning Christmas Eve and continuing into Christmas day, in retaliation for President Trump recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.  Further, some of the "chatter" has come from people believed to be GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES such as Pakistan and Turkey - directly communicating attack instructions including against SHOPPING MALLS on the day after Christmas, when people are exchanging gifts!!!!!

Worse: The "chatter" specifically includes talk of targeting "small to medium size towns" for such attacks because the thinking in the radical Islamic element is that smaller local police departments will become immediately overwhelmed and unable to stop what's being done!

My home state of New Jersey is set to receive its first significant snowfall of this season.

A storm system is now expected to move closer to the Atlantic coast than was initially anticipated, upping the probability that most areas of New Jersey will see their first snow accumulations of the season this weekend.

In a revised forecast issued Thursday afternoon, the National Weather Service forecast office in Mount Holly now calls for up to 4 inches of snow in far southern New Jersey, 3 inches in parts of Monmouth and Ocean counties and 2 inches or less from Middlesex County up through northern New Jersey.

While Friday and Sunday look dry, Saturday could see some snow starting in the late afternoon, meteorologist Joe Pollina of the National Weather Service said.

"The best time to see any snow is early Saturday night," Pollina said.

High temperatures will range from the low to mid-30s but Pollina predicted snow rather than a mixture of rain.

The snow should stop falling by midnight.

In a forecast discussion, the weather service said a coastal storm system that had been expected to remain far offshore Friday night into Saturday afternoon "is showing better organization today and also a track closer to the coast."

During the past few days, computer forecast models have flip-flopped as to whether the storm would track close to the Jersey coast and bring several inches of snow or track further east and deliver only a dusting of snow -- or nothing at all. As of Thursday afternoon, all of the models now favor some accumulating snow across southern and central New Jersey as well as in parts of Delaware and Maryland, the weather service said.

Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming is one of the most beautiful -- and most visited -- places on earth.  Its stunning natural beauty however, also contains one of the most dangerous and deadly parts of our planet: A SUPER-VOLCANO.

There are lots of volcanoes on earth but only fourteen "super" volcanoes.  They are volcanoes so large, that an eruption of any single one of them, can actually wipe out all life with 500 miles in minutes and alter the climate on the ENTIRE planet for DECADES.  13 of those super volcanoes are on the floor of an ocean, safely coverd by thousands of feet of water.  Yellowstone is the only one on land.

Since earthquakes may sometimes be a "signal" of a pending eruption, Yellowstone is intensely monitored.  There are 32 Seismographs in and around the volcano.  On December 3, some of those seismographs began picking up "something" happening deep within the Yellowstone super volcano.

That "something" began spreading on Dec. 4 and 5.   Now, as of Dec. 6, I'm not the only one who is noticing this.  What is taking place is not normal or typical.  I have a feeling it is also not good.

Folks, I am in quite a quandary as of about noontime on Sunday, December 3 because - to my utter shock -- funding to keep the radio show airing,  and this web site online during December, has still not come in.

I began asking for your support during my Wednesday radio show. Between Wednesday and Friday, 25 people donated.   On Friday morning, I mentioned that the money was way short, and expressed my hope that, because Friday was "pay day" folks would step-up.     Since Friday,  THIRTEEN (13) more folks donated.  That brings the total donors since Wednesday to thirty-eight (38)

I'm not certain now, what to do about this.  I have enough to do EITHER this web site, OR the radio show.  NOT BOTH.

It is open information as to the rates charged by radio station WBCQ to air shows. So that's no secret.   It is common knowledge that web hosting, cloud-based data transfer costs for the hundreds-of-thousands of people who visit this site each month, can far outweigh the radio costs.  Then too, there's the telephones for callers to speak on the air, Internet service costs for streaming audio servers add to the costs and so on.  All these services add-up every month.

USUALLY, I can count on more than 200 people donating in any given month.  Not so as of right now.

Hopefully, those of you who enjoy the news and commentary on this web site, will step-up right now and subscribe for $1 per week billed either Quarterly ($13) or Monthly ($5).

If a subscription is not for you, then perhaps a one-time donation of $10. $20. $35. $50, $100 or whatever amount you can, using either the DONATE button at the top right of this page, or by mailing cash, check or money order to me at my address below.

The fees for web hosting will withdraw from my bank account MONDAY MORNING.  If those fees do not clear, I will have twenty days to pay or this site will be shut off by the hosting company.  I must also pay WBCQ by Tuesday, or they cannot air my show the next day.  So we're down to less than 24 hours to get the funds needed to stay alive in this endeavor.

Here are the names (except last names) of the thirteen additional donors since Friday:

On Saturday, the United States informed the United Nations (UN) that it is withdrawing from a UN pact which sought to improve the handling of migrant and refugee situations, deeming it "inconsistent" with US policies.

In September 2016, the 193 members of the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted a non-binding political declaration, the "New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants" pledging to uphold the rights of refugees, help them resettle and ensure they have access to education and jobs.

"The New York Declaration contains numerous provisions that are inconsistent with US immigration and refugee policies and the Trump Administration's immigration principles. As a result, President Trump determined that the United States would end its participation in the Compact process that aims to reach international consensus at the UN in 2018," the US statement said.

US Ambassador Nikki Haley said the country would continue its "generosity" in supporting migrants and refugees around the world, but that "our decisions on immigration policies must always be made by Americans and Americans alone."

Mississippi authorities have made an arrest in the burning of an African-American church spray-painted with the words, “Vote Trump.”

Mississippi Department of Public Safety spokesman Warren Strain says Andrew McClinton of Leland, Mississippi, who is African-American, is charged with first-degree arson of a place of worship.

McClinton was arrested Wednesday. Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville, Mississippi, was burned and vandalized Nov. 1, a week before the presidential election.

It was not immediately clear whether McClinton is represented by an attorney.

Greenville is a Mississippi River port city of about 32,100 people, and about 78 percent of its residents are African-American.

After the fire, Hopewell congregants began worshipping in a chapel at predominantly white First Baptist Church of Greenville.

Fire Chief Ruben Brown told The Associated Press the sanctuary of Hopewell M.B Church sustained heavy damage in the fire, while the kitchen and pastor’s office received water and smoke damage.

The words “Vote Trump” were also spray-painted on an outside wall of the church.

UPDATED December 14 @8:35 AM EST  (See Bottom) -- This is the FINAL public audio archive for "The Hal Turner Show."  After this week, only people who DONATE to the program, will be sent links to make a download of the archive for themselves.  It's only fair, after all, why should those who donate in support of the show, prop-up a bunch of freeloaders?
