FEARS OF TAPPAN ZEE BRIDGE COLLAPSE CLOSE HUDSON RIVER IN NEW YORK CITY

Fears that the old Tappan Zee Bridge could collapse caused the entire Hudson river under the bridge to be closed and the opening of a new span of the Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge to be delayed overnight Friday.

Engineers working on the bridge discovered that a section of the old bridge was under "weakening strength" Friday, US Coast Guard petty officer Steve Stohmaier said.

He said it could cause a potential issue if it were to collapse into the river.

1,000 People on two trains had to be rescued this morning after the trains became disabled in Tunnels crossing the Hudson River between New Jersey and New York City.

NJ Transit and Amtrak services are currently running with delays in and out of Penn Station New York due to wire problems.

The latest computer models from the National Weather Service are showing a DIRECT IMPACT of Hurricane Florence on the New Jersey, New York City, Long Island area next week with CATEGORY 4 or 5 Winds! ! ! ! ! ! 

Weather experts are already saying "The potential destruction could be catastrophic." 

While the computer models could be wrong, and the hurricane may still turn away from the area, Folks in all of New Jersey, all 5 Boroughs of New York City and the entire length of Long Island should begin making serious preparations for this storm.

LEFTIST "Village Voice" shuts down after 63 years

A year after halting its print publications, the infamous weekly The Village Voice is folding due to financial woes, ending a 63-year run.

Publisher Peter Barbey made the announcement on Friday, saying that the now digital-only publication is shutting down because of finances and that most of the 18 remaining staffers have already been laid off.

Illegal Alien Executes Man in New Jersey Restaurant

An Illegal Alien has been charged with killing a man execution style inside a restaurant and then trying to kill his ex-girlfriend who sat at the same table.

Prosecutors say Miguel Leal Camara, 40, walked into the Bom dMais Luncheonette after 3 p.m. Tuesday and shot 45-year-old Marco Antonio Rosa Moreira in the head.
