A fire truck careened into a car in Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon, sending one person to an area hospital, police said. It appears the car, coming in the opposite direction, tried to turn left across the fire truck's path.

The fire truck slammed into the white sedan at DeKalb and Wilson avenues in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn around 2:30 p.m.

One person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital with minor injuries to his or her face, police said.

The law in most states is pretty clear: "Upon the approach of an Emergency Vehicle, pull to the right and stop."

One thing that means is that you don't go making a left turn in front of them!   DUHHHHHHHHH.
