Yesterday, the United States Geological Service (USGS) raised the alert level for the Kilauea volcano eruption from Orange to Red. Shortly thereafter, Hawaiians were stunned as Lava fountains shot 1 MILE into the air ! ! !
Things are dramatically worsening with the ongoing eruption of Mount Kilauea in Hawaii. While there are other volcanoes on the big island, adding to the worry now are new earthquakes taking place at . . . . Mouna Kea. That volcano is on the same big island of Hawaii, but in the northeast of the island.
Small earthquakes along the flanks of that volcano began on Monday and continue.
