The first named Atlantic Hurricane of the 2018 has formed. Hurricane Beryl is now in the Atlantic with maximum sustained winds of 80 MPH.
The projected path will bring the storm into severe wind-shear, and likely cause it to dissipate this weekend, but folks in the Caribbean and the US southeast coast would do well to monitor the storm closely.
