The National Hurricane Center has issued another report about Hurricane Florence in the Atlantic Ocean, approaching the east coast of the United States, near the Border between North and South Carolina - and they have issued a STUNNING warning.
According to Forecaster Beven:
LIFE-THREATENING FRESHWATER FLOODING FROM PROLONGED AND EXCEPTIONALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL EXTEND *** FOR HUNDREDS OF MILES INLAND OVER THE CAROLINAS AND THE MID-ATLANTIC ***
North Carolina has about five nuclear power plants and at least one of them is in the cross-hairs of the "eye" of Hurricane Florence.
Fears are now escalating that STORM SURGE of 22-33 FEET above normal high tide, could replicate the exact same type of flooding which took-out emergency generators at the Fukushima Nuclear Plant in Japan, in March, 2011, causing the same loss of power, same loss of reactor cooling, same meltdowns and explosions!
The state of North Carolina is now being told by weather experts to expect "catastrophic damage STATE-WIDE" from winds, storm surge, and historic inland flooding from Hurricane Florence.
Worse: Four of the state's five nuclear reactors are within 20 miles of the projected landfall site, and only 15-20 feet above sea level. Storm Surge of 20-33 feet is projected, possibly flooding the reactors and causing a FUKUSHIMA-type meltdown and explosion! ! ! !
The Governor of South Carolina, Henry McMaster, will order evacuations along South Carolina’s entire 187-mile coastline border starting at noon Tuesday, saying residents and tourists must get out of Hurricane Florence’s potentially devastating path, according to several lawmakers briefed on the plans.
The evacuations are expected to also cover some areas inland prone to flooding, including Berkeley County and parts of Dorchester County. About one out of every five South Carolinians are in the evacuation zones.
Hurricane Florence has strengthened from a Tropical Storm last night, to a CATEGORY 4 Hurricane as of 12:00 Noon eastern US time Monday.
