President Trump got "Briefed" on a POTENTIAL plan by the US Military regarding Iran's enriched Uranium. He has NOT approved this idea, but he has not refused it, either.
The idea is this:
Fly excavating equipment into Iran during hostilities.
Construct a runway on Iranian soil.
Fly in, land, grab the almost 1,000 pounds of enriched Uranium.
Take off and fly out with the Uranium.
When I first heard this information two thoughts crossed my mind:
1) This is shear lunacy. This is like some sort of "Heist." A plan so idiotic, I'm shocked that any rational person would even propose this, AND;
2) This is what happens when guys who grew up on video games, (detached from reality) are given real-life responsibilities.
The utter absurdity of this idea has me apoplectic.
Worse . . . .
They're justifying it based on the Israeli raid of Entebbe.
"Everyone told Israel there was no way they could fly in, fight the bad guys, rescue their people, and fly out. But they did it."
So we have a bunch of people who grew up on video games, planning a heist of nuclear material from a country they're at war with. They seem to think they can fly-in, construct a runway, steal the Uranium, and get out from a country with a population of 90 million, that is being actively assisted by teh Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.
How's THAT for detached from reality?
The President should flatly reject this absurd plan and fire the men who developed it and passed it along to him. There can be no faith in the ability to command by people who put forth such nonsense.
