Iran Delegation Arrives Islamabad, Pakistan for Talks Tomorrow

The Iranian delegation led by Parliament Speaker Qalibaf has arrived in Islamabad ahead of tomorrow's talks with the U.S., Iranian media reports.

Iran continues messaging that the talks are conditional on its demands being met.

Word came out earlier today CLAIMING the U.S. Vice-President's plane had departed Pakistan, seeiming to indicate the US was abandoning talks, but that claim is in question.

The plane seen on Flightradar24 and the Ads-b Exchange bore the callsign RCH4134 which is NOT the Vice-President's plane; it is a military plane assigned to the Vice-President's delegation.   So it is not at all clear if the U.S. was abandoning talks.

The Iranians have insisted that unless Lebanon is included in the ceasefire, and Israel ceases its attacks on Lebanon, Iran WILL NOT engage the US in talks and the fighting will resume.

The whole situation is a mess.

It seems that the Iranian side has conflicts within what's left of its government.  One side says there will be no talks, the other side sent a delegation but there MAY be no talks.  Clearly was is a result of the very poorly-thought-out decision to attack and kill Iranian government officials even though they were not combatants.

As things stand at 4:37 PM EDT on Friday afternoon, the iran REvolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is asserting it is in charge, and Ghalibaf/Araghchi are just figureheads

THE IRGC COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF AHMAD VAHIDI IS SEEKING TO CURB THE AUTHORITY OF MOHAMMAD BAGHER GHALIBAF AND FOREIGN MINISTER ABBAS ARAGHCHI IN THE TALKS

(Hal Turner Remark: Whoever the individuals are who made that decision to kill the non-Combatant Iran government officials, are incompetent, certifiable, asses.)

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump says the results of talks with Iran will be clear "in about 24 hours. We’re going to know soon."

Trump added, "We have a reset going. We’re loading up the ships with the best ammunition... even at a higher level than we use to do a complete decimation."

UPDATE 4:41 PM EDT --

Today in Pakistan, the planned talks between Iran and the US were postponed for one day because the Iranian side states that they will not participate in the negotiations until Israel stops airstrikes on Hezbollah positions in Lebanon.

Furthermore, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament declares that alongside a ceasefire in Lebanon, a precondition for the talks is the unfreezing of Iranian assets.

Meanwhile, according to Israel's Channel 12, Donald Trump is pressuring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop attacks in Lebanon because they hinder negotiations with Iran.

According to Lebanese media, it is expected that before the talks scheduled in Pakistan tomorrow – formally initiated as so-called peace talks – Israel and Lebanon will announce a kind of ceasefire agreement, which is seen as a goodwill gesture before the start of Iran-US negotiations.
