Iran appears to be taking the talks on Saturday seriously. The delegation of at least 70 people includes experienced diplomats and negotiators, experts in finance and sanctions, military officials and legal advisers.
Iran has arrived not with mere diplomats, but with the authority of its highest decision-makers: Parliament Speaker H.E. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister H.E. Abbas Araghchi, accompanied by senior figures of state.
This is no ordinary delegation. It is a quorum of resolve empowered to speak with the full voice of the Islamic Republic, ready to inscribe a just agreement or to depart with unyielding dignity. Tehran has come prepared.
The Iranian Delegation consists of about seventy (70) people. It is named "the Minab 168" to honor the children killed on day one of the War on Iran.
Iran sent extremely competent people; the four top men have Doctorate Degrees:
Dr. Ghalibaf, Speaker of Parliament
Dr. Aragchi, Foreign Minister
Dr. Ahmedian, Minister of Defense, AND;
Dr. Hemmati, Central Bank Governor.
They have brought with them experts on Uranium enrichment, Nuclear Energy fuel production and enrichment, Military experts and educated in Finance and Sanctions.
The American side is also extremely competent:
Vice-President JD Vance has a Law Degree from Yale University
Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff has a law degree from Hofstra University, AND;
Jared Taylor has a Law Degree from New York University (NYU)
WITNESSES INVITED
Iran has invited China and Russia as its witnesses in Islamabad.
The US has invited Saudi Arabia and Qatar on its side.
The UAE has been sidelined because the Iranian delegation raised an objection against it.
