It is 11:17 PM EDT on Thursday evening. My wife and I just got home from seeing Paul Anka in concert at the Bergen Performing Arts Center (PAC) in Englewood. WOW! What a terrific night out!
The PAC is a very small, very intimate venue. Only seats 1300 people and it was sold out.
Concert started a little after 8:00 PM and went straight through to about 10:30. He didn't take any breaks!
About midway through the concert, people were up out of their seats clapping and singing along to the music. It was great.
Anka is 85 years old and he hit that stage like a Trooper. So much energy. Oh, and his voice . . . . he's STILL got it.
It was nice to take a night off and go do something nice for a change. I told everyone in my radio audience last night that tonight would be a re-run.
All in all, a wonderful evening. It was much needed; very much enjoyed.
