The MAERSK ocean cargo ship company has SUSPENDED shipping to, from or through most countries in the Middle East due to the ongoing Special Combat Operation by Israel and the United States, against Iran. This suspension of services is a CATASTROPHIC development.
MAERSK makes clear they are worried about the safety of their vessels and crews, and issued the following NOTICE to Customers:
Without a way to get things shipped-in, factories and warehouses in these Middle Eastern countries are likely to have to shut down.
No raw materials can come in, no finished products can ship out.
FOOD SHIPMENTS will be impacted.
Most countries in the Middle East must import 70%-98% of their FOOD. While these countries DO HAVE reserves, they will have to be tapped to make certain the citizens can eat.
As the conflict continues, things will only get worse.
