"Rivet Joint" Aircraft Deploying to Middle East

A US Airforce RC-135V "Rivet Joint" has taken of from RAF MILDENHALL and is headed towards the Middle East.

Rivet Joint provides theater-level signals intelligence, this is a massive indicator strikes are going to go ahead.

Why is the RC-135V Rivet Joint important as Trump prepares to attack Iran ?

Before the June attack, it operated along the Iranian border for around 10 days.

Its main task is to identify the enemy’s Air Defenses, to locate and track sources of radio emission in all possible ranges, and to intercept command posts communication.

Aircraft of this type usually perform tasks paired with the E-3 AWACS long-range radar aircraft, one of them is deployed in Konya, Turkey.
