President Donald Trump was rushed OUT of the White House Correspondent's Dinner at the Washington, DC Hilton Hotel, after at least FIVE gunshots rang-out from an entry foyer outside the Ballroom where the Dinner was taking place.
Conflicting reports say one person is "in custody" while other reports initially claimed "the shooter is dead." Still no clarity on this point as of 11:20 PM EDT.
According to Witnesses, a man tried to run past the Magnetometer Check point, drew a weapon and fired, hitting a Secret Service Agent. The Agent and/or other nearby Agents, returned fire.
Video from inside the nearby Ballroom reveals the SOUND of one larger-caliber shot, followed by the SOUNDS of at least four smaller Caliber shots. Seconds after those sounds are heard, both Uniformed and plain clothes law enforcement officers rushed around President Trump and quickly escorted him off the stage.
According to various reports, the shooter is a 31 year old male, possibly from California. No other details available at this time (11:25 PM EDT) but the President, Vice-President, Speaker of the House, and other high ranking officials are ALL OK. No injuries to those people.
