This morning, the government of South Africa imposed fuel rationing in certain local markets.
Citizens are being told they can only purchase 30 liters (7.93 gallons) of fuel. Other areas are limiting amounts to 80 liters.
Prices for gasoline are going up thirty percent (30%) and prices for Diesel fuel are going up fifty percent (50%)
The government is attributing the rationing to panic buying by Farmers and distribution system glitches in some areas. They say the nation has adequate fuel stocks until at least mid April.
