This story publishes at 7:01 PM EDT. (4:01 AM Islamabad local time) As of about one hour ago, the Third round of negotiations between the United States and Iran concluded.
Both sides are keeping details very close to the vest.
No word on any agreements on anything, yet.
At least three (3) aircraft - and perhaps as many as Eight (8) from Tehran, landed at Rawalpindi's "Nur Khan" Air Base a short while ago. This is the same base at which both the US and Iranian delegations arrived for negotiations.
The arrival of these aircraft was not expected.
It is now being SPECULATED that the Iranians see no progress and are preparing to walk out of the negotiations. It is also SPECULATED they wanted the planes there so they could walk out and immediately fly out. Having three to eight planes allows for the Delegation to be split up in case of attack, wherein (hopefully) some would survive. Again, just SPECULATION.
UPDATE 7:40 PM EDT --
After the 3 round of Iran - US Talks effectively stopped an hour ago due to what Iran is describing as "the excessive demands of the American side,"-- another meeting was held moments ago at the insistence of the Pakistani side, which appears to be Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf's last attempt to JD Vance to reach a common framework.
