Here is something you can do as a member of the public-When the Dallas police were shot a few years ago-I think 3 or 4 of them were shot, I stopped and told a cop sitting at my local credit union working as a guard that I stood with him. What happened in Dallas was not right.

The shocking part was he looked up and replied, "My family thanks you." I said, "What?" He said his family was so fearful of what could happen to him that they wanted him to quit. I told him, "NO." There are bad people everywhere that do bad things. I don't quit being a doctor because someone punched another provider because they didn't get their narcotic. No we need to stand together and support each other. Please everyone say something or do something to support the cops. The life they save may be yours or your family.

When you train as a LEO you are told that you man shot a fleeing felon if you determine he has the ability to cause harm to others. In this case the suspect was fleeing with the officers taser a weapon that he could use to harm others. This is a justified shooting regardless of how the politicians call it. The officer should not be charged, justified shooting.

I don't know about Atlanta, but many police officers furnish their own weapons and equipment, or have the option to purchase them from the department.
Certainly, in the state of Georgia, personal firearms are legal.
