Today's podcast, which focuses on maintaining peace in a time of global war, features an interview with Finnish economist (and CEO of GnS Economics) Tuomas Malinen, who recently tweeted warnings about the coming implosion of the European economy."

We are essentially on the brink of another banking crisis, a collapse of our industrial base and households, and thus on the brink of the collapse of our economies," Malinen stated in a recent twitter thread.

In our interview (below), I asked Malinen about the collapse of Europe's industrial sector. He reminded me that US banks have extreme exposure to the financial failure of European banks.

This is a hard-hitting interview and story today. the podcast and the interview here.

But actually Igorbzo, God is not on our side. As an example, in Joshua 5:13 we read "....Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?”

verse 14 “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.”

In short, it's not a question of whose side is the LORD on, the question is: are we on the side of the LORD or Lucifer / Satan.

+8 # Maybe the plan is for the fedgov to keep the railroads.JFY 2022-09-14 23:59
One of tonight's callers said that there is a law from the late forties & early fifties that states that if after 48 hours no agreement has been reached, then the army can intervene to run the railroads.

I've been thinking that maybe there's a possibility that that's the plan.

The required 48 hours end at midnight this Saturday. Then on Sunday Brandon can declare that the Army is taking control of the railroads because of the danger of nationwide collapse.

Usually one could expect the government to return the railroads to private ownership as soon as normalcy was reestablished, but with brandon being a communist, maybe the plan is to simply keep them under the control of the feral government.

They would be the best way to exercise total control over all of society because any State that gets out of line can be immediately brought to its knees by holding back all railroad deliveries. It would do no good whatsoever for that State's government to take over the railroad lines that run through the state because what matters is what's being transported in the trains themselves, and the feral government would simply reroute the trains loaded with goods elsewhere.

If this is the plan, then by Monday all the railroads may end up having been taken over by the feral government under the pretext of "The Greater Good", and they won't be giving them back unless they're forced to "somehow."

Just a possibility maybe.
# Army running the RRJoshj1973 2022-09-15 07:27
The army does not have the trained manpower to run the RR.
Here is the deal with this strike, its not just the conductors, or engineers or the brakemen, its every working part of the RR! The maintenance men, the dispatchers, the rail crew express drivers, the loaders and un loaders of the trains and i found out last night that this strike is going into the dock workers.

"The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers announced on Wednesday that its 4,900 members had voted to reject a deal its leaders reached with the U.S. freight railroads in an effort to keep the system running. It is now extending its negotiation process to September 29."

Does this mean that they aren't striking until Sept 29 if continued negotiations fail?
+1 # From What I read ElsewhereGetsum 2022-09-15 01:40
There are a number of union (blackmail) shops that have agreed to NOT strike but that brings up a nasty little problem for them. Because of their nazi-like solidarity, they are supposed to honor and support another unions strike. I worked as a supervisor in a plant that had a unionized force...never again. They were the most spoiled, self-entitled group of whiners you'd ever see...and they wonder why companies export their jobs to places where people are actually productive.

Please see link for a much more detailed explanation...minus the fear porn. Yes it could happen, but hasn't yet. There are a lot of different angles at play here; a smart person would wait and see before yet another Chicken Little moment.

Yes, I read that post before my comment. It was helpful since I wasn't aware of all of the individual unions.
I've been a CPA for 30+ years and have lots of exposure to unions. My dad was in one when he worked for Illinois Bell/AT&T. Before they screwed him I already knew how bad they are. My dad wasn't like that. I never heard him complain about his job/wages/conditions/etc. Thank God! I would have had to give him a lecture. lol

The thing that confused me in the article was them saying that they've extended talks through 9/29. With 'extended talks' does that push the day of the strike to begin then or are they still planning to strike on the 16th and continue bargaining or has the strike been delayed to 9/29? That is where I'm confused. Thanks for any clarifications you can add.
# Not AlwaysGetsum 2022-09-15 14:56
First off, you're very welcome and thank you. Union talks can go on like this for months, even more than a year...sort of like Congress and the budget which is constantly kicked down the road via continuing resolutions which just passes the budget in a very shortened form until they can get off their butts to do their job properly.

Recently, a very large refinery in Texas had negotiations go on for more than 6 months with the threat of a strike happening every two weeks...this is business as usual for them and a WEAPON that they hold over their employers head like an axe. It is also a very large reason why so many companies move overseas where they can be productive and prosperous. Yes, I know there are some positives for the workers but over all, unions are outdated and uber-corrupt. My guys get good pay, a safe work environment, a contributing 401, health benefits and a stress-free work workplace. 25 years of the military taught me to take care of your people above all!

Think you for reporting this Hal. What I'm about to write is pure speculation but I think that it's worth noting. One has to ask, who benefits from this strike? We, the people, do not. If this gets prolonged and, this being an election year, the politicians do not benefit because they will get the blame. With the increasing, by the day, hostilities with Russia, China, and Iran the only beneficiaries would be the military since they would have open track to get large quantities of military hardware to various parts of the Country in short order. Was this railroad strike pre-planned for the supposed event of Sept. 24 or an October Surprise? Again, this is speculation but, given the times that we are living in, nothing would surprise me.

IAM District 19 Members Vote to Reject Freight Rail Agreement

IAM District 19 Members Vote to Reject Freight Rail Agreement

WASHINGTON, Sept. 14, 2022 – Approximately 4,900 members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) District 19 have voted to reject the Tentative Agreement with the National Carriers’ Conference Committee (NCCC).

IAM District 19 released the following statement:

“The Tentative Agreement has been rejected and the strike authorization vote was approved by IAM District 19 members. Out of respect for other unions in the ratification process, an extension has been agreed to until Sept. 29, 2022 at 12 p.m. ET. This extension will allow us to continue to negotiate changes with the NCCC in the hopes of achieving an agreement our membership would ratify.

“IAM freight rail members are skilled professionals who have worked in difficult conditions through a pandemic to make sure essential products get to their destinations. We look forward to continuing that vital work with a fair contract that ensures our members and their families are treated with the respect they deserve for keeping America’s goods and resources moving through the pandemic. I asked are you going on strike

Looks like it… congress will just put us back to work… we’ll see… no one knows what either side will do… but yes we are going on strike.

I asked what’s the strike about.

More time off… this new availability policy that the company has imposed, is over 90% availability… it equals to roughly 1 sick day a month… that’s insane considering I don’t have any scheduled days off, being on call 24/7… it’s actually not about the wages this time… the company took the recommendation from the presidential emergency board which gave us a fair raise in my eyes… it was the uncapping of the insurance (amount we pay) and the availability policy and some other issues that need to go… I’ll send you an interview that the guy that runs a railroad site on Facebook was on this morning… the company has until 23:59 tomorrow to accept.

This act will bring on chaos. The globalists want Order Out of Chaos. This motto is the ultimate recipe for a drastic change in society: 1) An event causes chaos and panic 2) A solution surfaces which also happens to advance the agenda of the elite 3) Society changes without resistance.

In this day and age, the ultimate goal of the elite is to create a global government that controls the world’s resources while keeping the masses subdued and monitored through police-state tactics. The first move was the Plandemic. The “solutions” to the virus crisis represented big steps in that direction.

This is why they welcome these moments of chaos. They are opportunities. While the masses suffer and weaken, the elite gains power and control.

ALL consumer goods that require processing from raw materials to finished goods and are staged in warehouses for delivery by truck to stores. All the warehouses get their stocks by rail, especially food warehouses. So, food, TP, dry goods, canned goods, perishable goods, darn near all of it. Bread/bakery goods still mostly deliver by truck, but the large bakeries get their flour by rail.

My family was in the grocery business for over 40 years, till the big chains crowded out most of the small independently owned grocery stores. Supply chain is more centralized now than it was then.

If they do not stop the strike in 28 hours from now, it will get real bad real fast. Just saw that Amtrak has cancelled all long-distance passenger service since they do not own any rails outside of the Boston-NYC-DC corridor.

The local giant Sun Products factory, lots of chemicals arrive daily to make Snuggle, Sun detergents, dryer sheets, dish liquid, dishwasher detergent, Costco detergent is made there. When they run out only what little that semi trailers can bring will be produced. Some will just shut down because added cost of alternate shipping methods eats profits.

Not a “one size fits all” list. Take the time to list what you go through daily, what your weekly needs are, even monthly as it’s hard to predict how long it will be before we return to some kind of normal.
Make categories, prioritize, list possible alternatives if an item is no longer available. You know best what your household needs, Hal can’t do that for you.

Russian sources: Organized assassination attempt against V.Putin - His motorcade was hit - Will he pay for the Russian defeat in Kharkiv?
Russian sources speak of an assassination attempt against the President of Russia, B. Putin. Vladimir Putin's motorcade came under an organized attack amid the defeat of the Russian Army in Kharkiv. General SVR is a Russian Telegram channel that regularly publishes classified information about Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin. According to the channel, Putin was heading to his official residence on an unspecified date in a decoy motorcade amid intense fears for his safety. Five armored cars took part in the motorcade, with Putin in the third, according to the claim. The car was driven to safety, with Vladimir Putin emerging safe and sound. However, his security service made several arrests - while some of the bodyguards disappeared - amid claims that classified information about the 69-year-old president's movements was compromised, the General SVR Telegram channel claims.

“On the way to his residence, just a few kilometers away, the first car of the convoy was blocked by an ambulance, and the second car made a slight detour without stopping because of the sudden obstacle. In Putin's car, a loud bang was heard from the left front wheel, followed by thick smoke," the Telegram channel reports. Putin's car "despite the problems created in its control" left the scene of the attack and arrived safely at the president's residence. "The body of a man was then found driving the ambulance, which blocked the first car of the motorcade ," adds SVR General. The channel - which boasts plenty of inside information from the Kremlin but has provided no hard evidence for its claims - said details of the alleged attack were "classified". "The head of the president's bodyguards and several other people have been suspended and are in custody," the channel said, without naming anyone. “A small circle of people knew about the president's move and all of them were from the presidential security service. "After the incident, three of them disappeared. These were exactly the people in the first car of the motorcade."Their fate is currently unknown. The car they were traveling in was found empty a few kilometers from the incident."

From Amtrak website:

Freight Railroad Labor Negotiations – Possible Impacts to Select Amtrak Service
September 13, 2022

Amtrak is closely monitoring ongoing freight rail management—labor contract negotiations. While these negotiations do not involve Amtrak or the Amtrak workforce, many of our trains operate over freight railroad tracks. Because the parties have not yet reached a resolution, Amtrak has begun to make initial service adjustments in response to a possible freight railroad service interruption that could occur later this week. If your train is canceled, we will attempt to notify you at least 24 hours in advance at the contact information you provided when making a reservation—as well as offer the opportunity to receive a full refund.

Note: In the Northeast, between Boston, New York and Washington there will be no impact to Acela, and only minimal changes are expected to Northeast Regional services. In addition, Empire Service between New York and Albany; Keystone Service between New York and Harrisburg; the Amtrak Hartford Line between New Haven and Springfield, MA; and the Downeaster between Boston and Brunswick, ME will not be impacted.

USDA (food subjected to spoilage), McCormicks (not just the spices but the components to make the spices to different plants), Lennox, Kelloggs, Del Monte, Bath and Body Works, McDonalds components, YUM Corporation (fast food), etc... frozen hamburger meat, toilet paper and many other paper goods, matches, beer, wine, canned vegetables and fruits, cat and dog food, and moved those dairy jugs from the processor to the dairy to places like WalMart. I know this personally because I went to work for JB Hunt Intermodal handling quite a few of these accounts at one point or another. The are intent on destroying the country. If they do nothing, the blame will go to the railroad workers, not congress. Just watch.
+8 # Blame?Reese14 2022-09-14 18:54
The blame should go to the railroads. Ever since Reagan busted the strike of the air traffic controllers, railroads have been lumped in with essential services that Cant strike unless they go through multiple multiple steps. The railroads know this and have for many years been chipping away at the quality of life of their employees. This has been to boost their bottom line and appease their shareholders. I worked for a railroad owned by buffet for the past 14 years and I can tell you that in that short time I have seen the quality of life plummet like a rock tossed off a bridge. Yes, railroaders make above the national average. The amount they make is constantly thrown out in the news as a reason why there is no reason to strike. But I have seen my pay for incidentals we would have been paid for in the past cut arbitrarily over the years more and more. Their take is if you don’t like it, arbitrate it. Which means an essence you’ll never see your money. They have been doing this for sometime. Then just recently in the past year they implemented a high viz. attendance system that is nothing short of indentured servitude. Points based indentured servitude. Kiss your family goodbye. Kiss your free time goodbye. Might as well set up a cot down at the train depot and sleep there because no one at home will know you because you’re never there. They do this because they can go to the American people/Sheeple and cry crocodile tears that their employees are asking too much. And scream to Congress to do something like stop the strike to allow the big conglomerate railroads to keep stomping on their men. The railroads could care less about their employees or this country and American people. The only damn thing they care about is squeezing one more drop of blood this quarter out of their Business.
Do I think the upper echelon of railroad executives have been let in on the game? Yes. I do believe that they have been told if they play along they’ll have a part in this new post freedom America. Besides, if they can figure out a way to run these trains with illegal aliens etc. etc. that are willing to work for pennies on the dollar all the better. And yes, everyone commenting on here about the amount of items you never think about that move via rail. They are 100% correct. If they want to break the backbone of this country, figure out a way to shut down the nations rail service. There is simply put, absolutely no way to move that amount of inventory via truck or any other means. We will grind to an absolute and utter stop.
+1 # Well said.The Infant Phenomenon 2022-09-14 23:04
Railroad men have every right to justice, and if they don't get it from their employers, then they have to demand it, even if it means striking. What would the country DO without railroads? Here’s the verse you quoted:

Jeremiah 31:2 “Thus saith the Lord, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.”

Good verse but not sure how it applies. I’m seriously curious. Not mocking in any way.
