NOLA - No Electric for WEEKS; Communications "Non-Existent" Flooding for MANY other states coming this week

After the landfall of Hurricane Ida in Louisiana, electric power has been cut for the entire city of New Orleans after at least one transmission tower with 6 to 8 main feed lines, collapsed at the Mississippi River.  Repairs will take WEEKS.

We with all the folks travelling west to evac South East La., alot of the Gas Stations approaching Lake Charles on I10 are out of fuel. But here in the Lake Charles area we didn't even get any rain off Ida, and it was a bit breezy yesterday. We dealt with both Hurricane Laura & Delta last year and the Lake Charles area is still a mess to this day, a failure under Trump, so I can only image the poor people from NOLA will get with Biden>>???.....I have NEVER ran from a Hurricane yet, I'm 57, and was within 15 miles or so from BOTH Delta and Laura landfall, our house didn't had ANY damage, only a storage building had some roof damage, and naturally fallen tree's. Yes we are always prepared to move if necessary, but like with Rita if we wasn't at home we wouldn't have saved alot of our stuff. Yeah, it's only stuff, but it's owns. In Louisiana hurricanes are just part of living here, and as long as you're smart about it.........you can make another day. BTW this should be a good test of the supply chain for our area.......with the panic buying of most (un prepared) people, we can see just how quick the grocery stores re stock>>???

Lived and worked in New Orleans while the Superdome was being built. Lots of good people down there. No power no lights, yet the National Guard continue wearing their senceless idiotic masks, in the rain.
