UPDATE 8:39 AM EDT --

Northbound lanes of Turnpike are fully re-opened but SOUTHBOUND remains severely slow because of wreck location on inner (car) lanes.   Two of three lanes are still blocked on the "inner" roadway (Cars only) and one of three lanes is still blocked on the "outer" roadway (trucks and cars).   Inner roadway moving at 1.8 miles per hour.

UPDATE 8:52 AM EDT --

The vehicle with the dead driver has been removed.

The tanker truck remains overturned and blocking two lanes of the car (inner) roadway.

Heavy duty wreckers are on scene to remove the tanker but because of its cargo (sulfuric acid) there are serious dangers during the removal process.

Fire department remains on scene.
