A 5 floor parking garage at 57 Ann Street in lower Manhattan has collapsed, killing at least one person and injuring at least 5 other people.
The building is at least 66 years old.
People in the neighborhood are telling media outlets that sections of this building have been collapsing for weeks, with at least one next door neighbor showing a hole in HER wall, from a large slab of concrete that broke through it as it fell off the next door building!
There are at least three previous complaints and 45 total violations with the Department of Buildings, about the structure which collapsed.
Authorities say the remains of the building are not structurally safe.
