Russia Deploying nuclear-capable underwater drone
7 Comments

Russia is ready to deploy nuclear-capable Poseidon underwater drones in the Pacific as part of its oceanic multi-purpose system.

Given the poor state of relations between the Kremlin and the United States, the American superpower is evidently the primary target of new Russian weaponry, but the deployment of Poseidon could eventually become an issue for China as well.

Russian President Vladimir Putin unveiled the development of Poseidon last March. It is said the unmanned submersible vehicle can carry a two-megaton nuclear warhead and is capable of destroying enemy aircraft carriers and infrastructure facilities.

It would be able to travel at a very high speed and an operational depth of up to 1,000 meters, making its interception very difficult.

The arms system is undergoing underwater trials, and two Poseidon-carrying submarines will be incorporated into the Russian Pacific Fleet – another two are expected to join the Northern Fleet. Each carrier will deploy a maximum of eight strategic drone-torpedoes.

The Poseidon strike system is designed to attack predominantly key coastal targets such as naval bases and carrier battle groups. Once fully operational, it would pose a very serious risk to key bases and assets of the US 7th and 3rd fleets, as well as to the Pacific coast of the United States.

In the case of an open military confrontation with the United States, the Russian navy would likely make targeting main naval bases such as San Diego, Pearl Harbor or Yokosuka, Japan its first priority, because they are home to principal naval assets such as aircraft carriers, major amphibious vessels, Aegis guided-missile cruisers and destroyers.

In this respect, the use of Poseidon torpedoes against important naval assets would allow it to achieve strategic outcomes with a single, swift strategic strike.

Seems to me a natural response to the USA-NATO ringing Russia with nuclear missile sites.

Everybody was told North Korea was crazy to be creating a nuke.

At one point Okinawa hosted approximately 1,200 nuclear warheads......
Early in March 2010 a Government of Japan inquiry revealed the existence of secret agreements for nuclear weapons brought into Japan.[48] The panel findings ended decades of official denial about the secret nuclear agreements in Japan.

BEAR RAPTURE PROPHECY ALERT UPDATE 4.

I've now updated this article considering the very likely prophetic sign that we just saw a few nights ago. I plan on adding more information to this particular update in the days ahead when I get the chance. That Bear strike prophecy keeps building and building and building and building ... Tick Tock Tick Tock ... Just a matter of time.

Before they (moral morons) do things like this, we should take care that psychopaths NEVER EVER reach positions of power and control within government (for which they crave *in any which purely evil way, thinkable or unthinkable to normal human beings* energetically and relentlessly).

I’m afraid it’s too late, Onno. They are already entrenched.

This is a coastal city killer. Underwater detonation will create massive tidal wave.

It is very important that people recognise that the Russian Posidon system is a 'Weapon of last resort', ie it is a 'Doomsday Device'. It is not a simple first strike weapon or a big carrier killing underwater nuke - it is a revenge weapon to be used to completely destroy nations following a nuclear strike against Russia.

The concept was to create a weapon that would survive a first strike attack, which was at least as powerful as an ICBM, but invulnerable to ANY current missile defence systems, including the space laser system still in development - thereby once deployed total destruction of the target was assured (reintroducing the concept of MAD, which NATO seem to have forgotten).

The idea is that these things, which are really a cross between a nuclear submarine and an ICBM, would be sent out towards every major coastal city, port, and naval base not already destroyed in nuclear retaliation.

The MINIMUM payload/warhead size was decided as being 2MT (large city killing size) right up to a potential 100MT (potentially large enough to destroy a small country such as England).

An underwater explosion above 10MT would cause a massive radioactive Tsunami litterally sweeping away all ships, cars, non-hardened buidings, people, etc for many miles inland. A 50MT to 100MT device would destroy an entire coastline, all buildings including hardened facilities, and sweep away and melt Super-Carriers as if they were plasic toys. The Tsunami from a 100MT detonation would be like the size of the Asteroid induced wave seen in the film Armageddon.

A detonation close to the surface with even a 'baby sized' 2MT device would cause an explosion, blast, heat flash, and steam shockwave that would destroy pretty much anything for miles around. A naval base of a city such as New York would, well, you can imagine I am sure...........
