The US Geological Survey reports a small, Magnitude 2.4 earthquake, struck the New Jersey Shoreline Wednesday morning.
The M2.4 quake, near Little Egg Harbor and Tuckerton, New Jersey struck at a shallow depth of only 5km but was not widely felt.
No reports of injuries or damage.
It is extremely rare that earthquakes strike in New Jersey.
