Several years ago, I was living in a high-rise apartment tower in a small micwestern city, and .the people on my floor (the top one) were very nice. We were all aware that it wasn't the nicest part of town, but it was a roof over my head, and .I was grateful.

One day I looked out my living room window, and in the streets below I could plainly see two lines of kids moving toward each other. A fight was about to happen, and it was going to happen right in front of my building. So "granny" picked up the phone and called 911. Someone must have had a police scanner because you should have seen the little punks scatter!!! If I hadn't, there would have been a bunch of dead kids in front of our building, and maybe some dead seniors inside. This video above was like watching what I'd seen coming that day. I praise the owner of the footage in this story for giving it to the police, and I hope they get a tidy reward from "Crime Stoppers." I also hope every one of these little hoodlums is picked up and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I will be sticking with a 1911-SA 8rnd custom mag and a Mossberg 590 with Armstec speed loaders (4rnds-4sec). It is too bad I can't get a "Mac" 10 kitted out, suppressor, brass catcher, horizontal for grip, sling and a stock. That part about being a "fa" open bolt takes taxes, tag, title and a "big" price tag. I thought the price on a "Black Hand" was steep. Rich man's game.
I always was a minimalist. If it needs a "gas tube" forget it. A M14 or a MP44 has fewer moving parts to break or wear out. The bolt assemble is light and you can carry a few spares.

When the housing crisis hit in Florida in 2008, home prices in Florida went down by about 65% overnight. People were still expected to pay the 8k in taxes for a starter home recently purchased at the high prices. Taxes are about 10 K a year now for a starter home. A second crash may be close. Every time a house sells the taxes go up higher.

Three of my sisters are RNs and a few years back one of them went to a special weekend training for Level One Trauma Center nurses.
On the second day the afternoon class given by a US colonel military surgeon and he told them that they will see battle wounds coming through their doors soon. Gunshots, bombs, limbs blown off, shrapnel, everything that you would see on a battlefield.

B-A high grade 308 semi-auto, e.g. AR10 or FAL with 30 round mags, 20 if you can't get 30; and, plenty of good quality ammo; also training in use of said rifle. (if you don't have training in rifle use, get a 12 gauge pump shotgun that can take 3 inch shells).
C-A high grade semi auto pistol for backup, e.g. Glock, Sig, Walther PQQ, etc. with training in use of said pistol.
D-A good medical kit with plenty quik clot and tourniquets
E-The sense to avoid dangerous situations until they come to you, then take COVER, and pick off any assailant that moves toward you with a weapon.

I am Russian, from Nizhniy Novgorod, I was 10 when the Soviet Union collapsed. Things were very bad. The wannabees on here talking about their expensive, heavy battle rifles have no idea what they are talking about. In Russia most houses have gardens with foods that can be eaten. Within two weeks these were all gone and then people will do anything once they get hungry. Thankfully my family made it out and we were able to move to America. I married a Marine, he has a sharp knife, a Glock 17, and his grandfather's hunting rifle. I know how to shoot and survive. The letter was intercepted by authorities who deemed it to be anti-Soviet propaganda as it made a joke about Stalin and criticized the Soviet regime. Solzhenitsyn received eight years in a gulag/prison camp for this act...

I tell my buddies, I can maybe defend against two to three people rushing my home. Five or more, you’re pretty much done for. I have more shit to defend my home with than the few of them combined as well. If I can’t defend my home against that many people, then they’re for sure dead. I told them the only way to overcome is to combine strength.

We all have families that need protection. I bet most of you are the same as well. Get with your buddies and families and figure out who’s home you’re meeting at, how to get there, and bring all the preps you can muster in minutes.

You will need to be part of your neighborhood "militia", dare I say it. If you are alone, I hope your house is concrete block - you will likely live longer than in a wood frame or "toothpick" house as the wife calls it. Unfortunately I am in one now but they do have more flexibility in case of an earthquake.

Ill be moving outside [at night] once it starts…Under a willow tree at the edge of my yard w a clear view of my gate 85 yds away I stacked 40 lb bags of QuikRete 4 ft high, speared them into the ground w rebar and let it rain on it…I have a fortified OP/LP for my night hooch…
Cant sit inside or let them get close…jmo
