I've also been reading about how they are turning away making it very hard for Ukrainian refugees to get approval to come here. Even the US government website says they should go to the United Nations Agency for Refugees and not apply directly to the United States.

The Russian Defense Ministry also said that on March 31 Bucha’s Mayor Anatoly Fedoruk said in a video address that there were no Russian soldiers in the community. Nor did he mention any locals allegedly shot on the streets.
