There is an increasing divide occuring among nations... clearly globalization is over. What I'm seeing is nations or criminal elements within nations fighting for power and retain their power, with limited regard to consequences. Lawlessness and corruption flourish, while justice and equity is laughed at or scorned. This will ultimately lead to larger and larger conflicts amongst nations frantically fighting for the right to exist, like two rats stuck in a barrel unable to crawl out. The worlds dependence on current conveniences, when halted, due to sanctions or any other rapidly occuring reasons, will reverberate to every individual across this planet, unable to live how they use to before the shortages. There will be chaos. China stopping the export of goods to the usa, will break the American dream and unleash so many problems throughout this country that an emp wouldn't even be neccessary.

I remember hearing reports that the Chinese bought up our Steel/Copper/Cement factories so that they could build their Yangzee 3 Gorges Dam in China. They would send all the materials over to China, and because this caused a surge in demand, prices were jacked up here in America for the Materials. So the American Customers ended up paying for the Dam indirectly.

Lived in China 10 yrs--on the inside. Lived with them, worked with them. Nothing is ever what it seems with them or what they say (even their threats are to divert from real agenda). Studied Art of War by Laozi who said hit your enemy when they are down and least prepared.

The Chinese are VERY patient and I think they will wait for R's first move and then they will move on Taiwan and us. They are getting assets out of harm's way for multiple reasons. It will be a coordinated effort between the two of them. Likely, R EMP to starve us (along with current bird flu and deer wasting disease) so they don't damage the farmland and retain clean land and air for the Chinese to colonize after US is split between the two of them.

I was a missionary in the '80s and '90s. In the '80s, I set up and taught an MBA program at a major university (undergrad is in poly-sci). I lived with them in poverty--no heat, no hot water. It is uncomfortable but survivable.

In the '90s, I was in executive management of 2 high-profile Chinese-Hong Kong joint ventures, one of which installed the Chinese Internet backbone in China. In both, large Chinese ministries were our JV partners.

I know how they think at the highest levels. The corruption of values spreads down--right is wrong and wrong is right and might makes right.

In the '80s--before the China Miracle boom--their plan to dominate the US (and re-take Taiwan) became clear to me. They are intractably driven by revenge (no cultural concept of forgiveness) and deep shame (loss of "face") of their fall from perceived world dominance under Mao.

They are patient and will wait 1,000 years to mercilessly get revenge, but they WILL get it.

You don't want to be on the west coast when that happens!
