Personally, I've found most of my family members to be willfully ignorant. Accepting reality, including the numerous soft n hard kill schemes attacking us, is simply too much for them. I thank God every day that I can see what's happening. I've family that will fight to cling to their ignorance. They lack the educational n professional backgrounds to have informed opinions on the Plandemic/killshot genocide, for example. That doesn't stop them from strongly arguing that they know better.

I've tried to save them for years, now. I'm done wasting my time n energy on it. If they insist on keeping their heads buried up their butts? Evil will succeed in killing them. I tried. I've no respect for people who vehemently refuse to even consider info that contradicts their worldview.

As far as President Putin's speech, today. I'm greatly looking forward to it. I hope he kicks the US/NATO/WEF in the teeth, HARD. The longer the Uke war continues. The more likely that evil will get it's nuclear exchange. Far too many innocent people have already died, or are suffering terribly. This needs to be brought to an end. Our stolen, satanic Govt surely won't do it. So, let Russia.

We tell ourselves that we should just walk away from them and leave them to the fate they've chosen. But we know it was not a free choice--that they were tricked. And we know who did it. And for that they've been trained to think of us as bigots. This is the moment for strength. Self-doubt and emotion at this moment makes us like a squirrel who starts across the road then turns back and gets run over in the process. He could have stayed or gone and been ok...but indecision killed him.

So, Mr. Putin gives a speech meant to get everyone in Russia on the same page regarding the war. He requires all outlets to carry it. He lays out, in order, the steps taken by the West and by Russia that led Russia to where they are today. In my view, this only sets up the Russian mind to arrive at a common resolve leading to the next steps. Those next steps would not and should not be laid out in a speech such as Putin's today.

In my view, Mr. Putin is describing a denouement that is yet to come, to be recognized primarily by the more rational Russian mind. This type of mindset characterizes those Russians I have known or observed from afar. This cultural condition has been behind, for example, the steely and calm assessments of Mssrs. Lavrov or Medvedev. We must not mistake tempered deliberation for irresolution.

We in the West tend to need to get ourselves infuriated or filled with a team or party spirit; to get whipped up into a fervor for the things we wish to go full-bore into. This was exploited to great advantage by the war appeals of the extremely morally dubious Presidential administrations of the last 40 years. In the U.S., we appeal to the lowest common denominator of anger and threatened loss of self-interest for a casus belli; in Russia, Mr. Putin is appealing to right and wrong.

In short, then, I am saying that, although human nature is the same worldwide, Putin is merely exhorting his countrymen to a choice they have: to do what is sadly necessary, and to take the next steps that become obvious as the situation progresses. In other words, we expected Putin to outline a "policy" as we in the West view such a thing; instead he is outlining a past scenario which makes the next actions rather obvious. We will not get what he is doing, because we see only the need for indignation as a motivator. Mr. Putin has had to resort to expressing "policies" to us in the West because he knows that is the only thing we understand. To us, policies are only a polite form of threats of force we will use to club our targets into submission. But a much more fundamental appeal to justice and mercy is being made to the Russians, and NOT to the West, via this speech.

With this typical Russian-mentality setup, I have no doubt further actions will result, and soon. There remains a purposeful reason for Russia to have developed advanced weapons which are unstoppable by any defenses. Of course, we in the U.S. can only project onto the Russian leadership what WE would have developed such weapons for, i.e., unipolar domination. Our leaders simply cannot comprehend any other purpose. But there can be another purpose, and in this speech the Russian President is enlightening his own people to it, and the implication is that the purpose is to immediately follow. It is a red line that the Russians can understand, but we cannot. Putin would have betrayed the character and mindset of his own people to have done it any differently.

In my opinion, and in view of the huge cultural differences that have emerged over the last 40 years, this speech was a frightening demonstration that Russia intends to relentlessly tilt towards the next obvious moral and existential milepost.

To summarize all the tedium above, I submit that in any speech billed as a watershed, we expected Putin to "throw down", because that's how WE do it. I believe Putin is much more convincingly ( to his own people, that is ) describing, with quiet determination they understand, that the horrifying next step is going to occur, and now. He would have been a fool to reveal it openly to our dimmed understanding.

Ok, I took the time to type the russian into a translator, and it says, "history always repeats" for the first part, and the second part with the date says "the power is in the truth and the truth is behind us" (which I am guessing is like "on our side"). It does not say what you have quoted up there about Moscow preparing for a historic day and there's no turning back.

First thing, is if a nuclear war happens, none of us can stop it. If it happened tomorrow, none of us will be able to stop it. Second, from a statistical point of view, chances are most of us will survive it and have to deal with the aftermath. Unless you're in a military base or a primary target, you'll probably survive as nukes are indeed very destructive, but they don't instantly turn an entire nation's landmass into glass. With that being said, you'll likely be a survivor if you like it or not. I love it when people ask me why I would want to survive a nuclear exchange, like it's a matter of choice. If it were up to me, there wouldn't be a war, but these things are beyond our control. Choosing to ignore the warnings is choosing between hell, or a slow and painful hell.

Most of my preps were done with civil unrest at best, civil war at worst.

The longer the Lord tarries the more worthless my preps have become because most of them were for a more or less “civilized” collapse.

We are long past that.

Made choice to not live big city about 25vyears ago and havent regretted it for a minute. If I remember correctly u have said that ur wife had a fair amount of health problems and that very easily already doubting longevity of life and leads to a defeatist attitude when faced with the chore survival. Very sad but depression is an issue for those with health problems. Unfortunately people dont get that as bad as nukes are most people will likely die from loss of services mixed with complications from nukes strikes like radiation poisoning. Horrible painful and slow way to die. A limited strike package will likely leave 99 percent of people alive trying to survive without preps or being in a safe location. The world isn't going to be a waistland like movies portray. Nukes destroy depending on how big they are from 1 mile to 20 miles to the czar bomb, and there isn't many of those. I have a daughter in her mid-20s, working on her masters degree. She feels the same as your wife- she does not want to live in a post-catastrophic world if her life will consist of what is experienced in shows such as The Walking Dead. If she can’t live her life the same, as in go to a grocery store, use her cell phone, driver her car, air conditioning…then she doesn’t want to live her life scraping up bits for food and shelter, and merely trying to survive or fight others for supplies…to what end? She is not depressed, she just knows she does not want to live in a world like that, a post apocalyptic world. I don’t think we can change their minds, just accept it. I have a good bug out, she won't go. I've wanted to just move away from the city, it would be better financially anyways. She won't go. Long time follower here. Same age basically as you. Have been through a lot of therapy due to one daughter. And I mean a lot. This relationship sounds toxic to me. We call what she is doing “ sitting in your crap”. Go without her. Toxic people will pull you down and destroy you rather than change. Hal, I empathize with you. A few months ago, I thought the exact same things as your wife. I prayed about it and asked God for guidance. The answer I got was that if I remained in my home near Los Angeles, my actions would be essentially suicidal. I know in my heart that God wants me to fight for my life. So, I moved to a very small town in the boonies, away from all my family, in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
