Guess Who Bought-Up Ukraine Farmland Since 2014 Coup?

For those of us who have been scratching our heads as to why the US and EU are so bent on "helping" Ukraine, I found something out today:

Since the 2014 Coup which overthrew Democratically elected President Viktor Yanukovich, and put a puppet regime, favorable to the west, in his place . . . .

three giant corporations -- Cargill, DuPont and Monsanto -- bought seventeen million hectares of Ukraine agricultural land.   That's sixty percent (60%) of the total agricultural land in Ukraine!

Thought you'd be interested in that.

They think they are fighting for their 'land', but the good land was sold out from under them. Now they are fighting so that their note holder occupiers can hold on to their assets. I think any government that allows it's water and farm land to be sold off to another is a traitor to the nation it supposively serves.

Today with AO Bayer in Moscow all Bayer divisions are represented in Russia: Consumer Health, Pharmaceuticals and Crop Science. The regional company network in Russia comprises 36 locations with representative offices in all main cities."

Bayer did join the embargo, though....

70%j of agricultural land was given to former collective farm workers in the 1990s. They could not sell it, until land reform passed in the 1990s. Now....they can sell it to other Ukrainian individuals (not foreigners, not corporations (Ukrainian or otherwise).

Obviously.....3 foreign corporations could not buy 60% of Ukrainian farmland....

"These are about 7 million Ukrainians who, as a result of land parceling in the 1990s, have acquired more than 70% of all agricultural land in Ukraine. And it makes about 30.5 million hectares.

The transfer of land to private ownership was to become an act of restoring justice after the illegal collectivization of all agricultural land in the USSR. But, despite obtaining title to the land, landowners were limited in their ability to fully exercise such right. Introduced as a temporary measure in 2001, the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land deprived the rural residents of the opportunity to sell their land plots. Moreover, the landowner cannot use the land as collateral with the bank to obtain a loan.

Thus, instead of restoring social justice, 7 million Ukrainians have acquired illiquid assets. Given that about 75% of them do not work in agriculture, and more than half are elderly people, perhaps the only way to get at least some benefit from the land was to lease it. "

Collective farms were divided up to Ukrainian citizens when the USSR disolved in the '90s. Private citizens have been unable to sell the land until this month, however. Sales are only possible to other Ukrainian citizens, until 2024. Sales to Ukrainian 'legal entities' (companies) are possible after that....

"he moratorium on land sales of arable land was Ukraine’s gap between potential and actual production volumes. .... Beginning in July 2021, agricultural land is available for sale to Ukrainian citizens (up to 247 acres per individual). Beginning in 2024, Ukrainian legal entities will be able to buy up to 24,710 acres.""

"We would like to remind you that until 2024, every Ukrainian within the framework of the Law on land can buy an investing-in-ukraine/business-opportunities/agricultural/" rel="dofollow">agricultural land plot of 100 hectares. After the referendum in 2024, the area of the purchased plot may increase to 1000 hectares. Presumably, after the 2024 referendum, foreigners will also receive the right to buy Ukrainian land."

Since Putin closed the Russian door to Monsanto (also calls the company a terrorist organization) and has banned all GMOs in his country. Those that say he rules with an iron fist often cite this as one of the many reasons (no freedom of choice) but once it got into the American food market it took over.
Now you cannot buy any corn or soy that isn't at least partially GMO modified. And Monsanto sees $$$ every single time. They control the seeds which are nicknamed "seeds of death" If theirs blows onto an heirloom field they then claim ownership by copyright. It is tyranny

+1 # RE: USA has also 2022-07-27 18:03

The plunder of Ukraine has been going on for over 3 decades now. Since the unfortunate events of the late 1980s and early 1990s, the country has been the target of various entities from the political West. The economy, scientific potential, natural resources and the people of Ukraine themselves have been subjected to one of the worst cases of exploitation in recent history.

The economy has been plundered by the corrupt oligarchs, while the country experienced a severe brain drain, leading to complete degradation of its once word-class scientific potential, despite the fact that the country’s scientific institutions were essential in endeavors like space exploration, which was of prime importance for the entire mankind.

Ukraine’s vast natural resources are being stolen to this day, while the population of the country has suffered tremendously, being subjected to various forms of brutal exploitation. Millions of Ukrainian girls and women have been forced into prostitution, providing a constant supply of sex slaves for decades. All this led to a catastrophic decline in population, which dropped from 52 million in 1991 to 41 million in 2021, a staggering 21% decline in just 30 years. And just as it seemed things couldn’t possibly get worse, the political West intervened in 2014 and installed a puppet government filled with a volatile mix of corrupt oligarchs and openly Neo-Nazi organizations, plunging the country into a war with its own population, and setting the stage for a conflict with Russia, a military superpower in possession of the world’s most powerful nuclear arsenal.

At present, as Ukraine is left with very little to be plundered, the Kiev regime decided to give up the country’s last vestiges of national wealth – its gold reserves. According to Gold Seek, the Kiev regime has recently handed over at least $12 billion of Ukrainian gold reserves to the United States. It appears those might be the last gold reserves the country has left. Since Russia began its special military operation in February, the political West, led by the US, has appropriated tens of billions of dollars of Ukraine’s foreign exchange and gold reserves. After receiving tens of billions of dollars in so-called “military aid”, as well as financing for its government institutions, the Kiev regime was forced to give up its gold reserves as a condition for all US and EU “assistance”.

The author of the report, Chris Powell, Secretary/Treasurer of Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee Inc, said:

“Since Russia began its attack on Ukraine’s non-Crimean territory in February, the United States and its allies have appropriated tens of billions of dollars in military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. So why would Ukraine need to sell its gold reserves unless doing so was a condition of all that U.S. and European assistance, especially since the United States already had taken custody of the Ukrainian gold?

Stripping the wounded of their valuables in wartime always suggests greed or desperation — like desperation to keep the gold price down to support the U.S. dollar and other Western currencies…”

Last week, Reuters also reported that the Kiev regime had handed over the country’s gold. According to the report, Ukraine’s Central Bank has sold $12.4 billion of gold reserves since the beginning of Russia’s special military operation on Feb. 24, the bank’s deputy head said on July 17.

Those three giant corporations would be apoplectic if Russia did that, to which Russia would taunt, "waddayagonnadoaboudit ?". This country is absolutely not going to adjust well to not being able to buy or bully everyone they want to. And our economy/dollar cannot stand on its own without that. We forced Russia to be our enemy, and now they are going to act like one, and if we try to force our will, they will destroy us both. Checkmate.

If Russia annuls the corps' ownership of this land, they can redistribute it to deserving young Ukrainians in a lottery or something ( after they qualified ), and have a farming renaissance in Ukraine. General prosperity would flow from that. Russia would be the heroes of the Ukrainian people.

The EU and the US are getting dangerously close to castrating themselves militarily by pumping large amounts of their resources into a black hole in Ukraine. Can they stop now ? This article seems to indicate they cannot - they have to go for broke against losing odds. If they had let Russia clear Luhansk and Donetsk and clear out a few Nazi strongholds and be done with it, this would have been over by now, and Cargill, would be sitting pretty. Too bad so sad.

I also read that last night. These 3 multinational corporations purchased 17 million hectares (2.5 acres = 1 hectare) of agricultural land.

Monsanto (which is officially German but with American capital).

Also, there was 5% of Ukrainian agricultural land that was subsequently purchased by the Chinese state.

Underlying it all are the main shareholders of these 3 companies...Vanguard, Blackrock, and the Blackstone Group.

If we couple these facts along with the recent Ag land purchases by Bill Gates and the CCP across America, along with the WEF's goal via the 3 aforementioned companies to take over Dutch farmland, we can see a coordinated effort to control global food supplies.

No. Bayer bought Monsanto in 2016.

"The Monsanto Company (/mɒnˈsæntoʊ/) was an American agrochemical and agricultural biotechnology corporation founded in 1901 and headquartered in Creve Coeur, Missouri. Monsanto's best known product is Roundup, a glyphosate-based herbicide, developed in the 1970s. ....In September 2016, German chemical company Bayer announced its intent to acquire Monsanto for US$66 billion in an all-cash deal.[12] After gaining US and EU regulatory approval, the sale was completed on June 7, 2018. For discussion, I have researched that very subject and cannot find anything to back up your statement. I do not believe that it is all organic farming.
Please give documentation to back that up. Yes, they can ban GMO's but that does mean crops are grown without chemical sprays for insect etc. control and herbicides for weed control.
BTW, the southernmost part of Russia is north of the continental US. For a for instance, there are only a few states in the US that can produce an organic apple.
I have hoped that we could advance our farming to all organic for 25 years...but it won't happen. Verify
