The Sakurajima Volcano in Japan is one of the most active volcanoes on that island nation. Tonight, someone is firing what appears to be a Directed Energy Weapon into the mouth of the volcano, apparently causing it to erupt harder.

After watching the video for many minutes, and not having a precise view of the mouth of the volcano, it appears that the green line (beam?) never enters the volcano. It seems to stop short at the same point every time.

The reddish hue changes intensity with time and helps define the shape of the mouth.

The end point of the "beam" does not seem to disappear behind any form of obstacle or crater wall. The "beam" seems to simply stop
in mid air.
