Hungarian Border Wall: "Illegals Don't Even TRY to cross it"

Skeptics who believe a border wall will not stop illegals from entering the United States may want to look at what’s happening in Hungary.

On the day its border fence was completed, the influx of illegals entering Hungary went down from 6,353 per day to 870 the next. For the remainder of that month, illegal border crossings were steadily below 40 per day, officials said.

“They don’t even try,” a local border guard said. “We haven’t had a single Muslim migrant in six months.”

Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s pledge to stop illegals from flowing into the country appears to be a spectacular success.

Hungary’s 96-mile long, 14-foot tall double-line fence includes several layers of razor-wire capable of delivering electric shocks.

The barrier features cameras, heat sensors and loudspeakers ready to tell migrants they’re about to break Hungarian law if they as much as touch the fence.

Nearly every police officer in Hungary is part of a rotation to monitor the border fence at all times. Temporary military bases house the police while they do their rotation.

Additionally, Hungary will train and pay more than 1,000 volunteers to deploy as “border hunters.”

Illegals who are caught are arrested and dropped off on the Serbian side of the fence.

They don’t get a chance to apply for asylum unless they do so at a “transit zone” where they are held in housing containers while their cases get processed, the report said.

In September 2016, thousands of migrants streamed across the border every day as they made their way north to Austria, Germany and Scandinavia.

“It was an invasion,” Laszlo Toroczkai, the mayor of Asotthalom, told media reporters. “Illegal immigration is a crime in a normal country. It’s not a normal thing to break into a country.”

“By mid-year it was well beyond 100,000 people who came across,” said Zoltan Kovacs, a spokesman for the Hungarian government. “You should at least have the ability to handle what’s going on.”

Kovacs added: “You might not like it, it’s not a nice thing, but the only way to stop illegal border crossings is to first build a fence, man it, equip it, and also, in parallel, build up your capabilities in terms of legal confines, legal circumstances to be able to handle what is coming.”

(Hal Turner Comment: It’s no surprise the mainstream U.S. media refuses to report this story to the American public. Can you imagine how support for a Southern border wall would spike?)

World war two would have been so different if todays enlightened politicians had been around.
The Germans could have simply parachuted in and claimed asylum status.

Note that the current polls show a public majority to exit the EUmpire immediately. The politicians refuse to obey. They are WELL bribed.
Members of EU Parliament get $112,000 salary plus $2,200 a month unvouched expenses. All EUmpire civil servants have lifetime immunity from prosecution for all crimes. They do nothing, cannot make any laws (just vote like nodding pigs).

The EUmpire is set up like the Catholic church.
Their priests/MP's are above the law - all their building have diplomatic immunity - no police allowed to enter ( just like a church )

Note that the EU arrest warrant allows any of 28 members, each having their own legal system, language, to email my local police station and have me arrested and handcuffed and transported to the requester.
My local judiciary nor I have any way to challenge this.
So I get tried by laws I know nothing of, in a language I cannot understand. Sounds fair to me !

Note than as of today, all EUmpire new cars are fitted with monitoring computers - which cannot legally be switched off.
Next year they will be used to check the local speed limit via GPS - but they promise not to switch off the engine.

You were actually on a roll with some good points until that last one. However, I will give you a pass since you were spot on with the first three comments.

Europeans generally want immigration from third world countries stopped, but the governments do not respond in kind. Yet, when governments want to do something to take away personal freedom, they are suddenly super-efficient (I am think of the new gun bans in New Zealand having been implemented within a week of the Christchurch mosque shoot-up). However, when it comes to acting upon the will of the people in nominally democratic nations, i.e., immigration control, Brexit etc, somehow the process is painfully slow.

The European Union and its goal of a borderless Europe, the euro common currency, a common police force – EUROPOL – benefits only one major and influential group: the pedophile network that dominates the EU and individual member states like the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden, and others.

'EU civil servants are immune from legal proceedings in respect of acts performed by them in their official capacity, including their words spoken or written. They shall continue to enjoy this immunity after they have ceased to hold office' (reference: Protocol on the privileges and immunities of the European Communities of 8 April 1965).

What does that mean? It means that even after they retire, they cannot be confronted by justice for anything they did while in office. Even politicians do not enjoy such an immunity. Our presidents, our ministers, our MPs, our EuroMPs, the European Commissioners … all are only protected by legal immunity for the duration of their mandate.

                ....Class privileges
No single democratic country has such legal protection for their civil servants. On the contrary, democracies were built on eradicating such immunities or ‘class privileges’ which result in two-speed societies.

Nobody can explain why this immunity has been granted. Especially because it was granted years after the European Community was created and was sneaked into a treaty reform as an appendix to an article which had nothing to do with it. Who created it and why? Until now, after questioning officials from several Member-States we have not been able to get any other answer than "We do not know".

I am not arguing with your characterisation of the EU and its institutions, Carl. It is your statement that priests are above the law and that police are not allowed to enter churches that is incorrect. If it were correct, the church would never have had to been involved in a cover-up of the child-abuse scandal (a scandal that should have been placed at the feet of the gay lobby as much as the church. Why did the gays get a pass?)

I live in Ireland - and everyone knows that priests were IRA "sympathisers" - including gun running. And that the gardai would as soon shoot themselves as raid a church.

I understand your point in law. Practice has and does vary around the world. We are told politicians / priests are not above the law - because immunity can be waived.
Of course a church/mosque can be searched - but when ?
                    http://edition.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/europe/01/20/mosque.raid/
LONDON, England -- British anti-terror police found a mini-arsenal of weapons when they raided a London mosque linked to a number of key terrorist suspects.

Skeptics who believe a border wall will not stop illegals from entering the United States may want to look at what’s happening in Hungary.

Well, let's just be fair about it. In reality, there are not many sceptics who think a wall will not stop illegals. The people who are against the wall are so upset exactly because they believe a wall will stop the illegals, which is the very thing they dread.

This is an interesting article, but it will not be compelling to those who are against the wall.

Moving people around to work in your plants / fields - is called slavery - which the Democrats defended in civil war.
      https://www.history.com/topics/us-politics/republican-party#section_2
In 1854, opposition to the Kansas-Nebraska Act, which would permit slavery in new U.S. territories by popular referendum, drove an antislavery coalition of Whigs, Free-Soilers, Americans and disgruntled Democrats to found the new Republican Party,.....The Republican goal was not to abolish slavery in the South right away, but rather to prevent its westward expansion, which they feared would lead to the domination of slaveholding interests in national politics.
In the 1860 election, a split between Southern and Northern Democrats over slavery propelled the Republican candidate Abraham Lincoln to victory
