Iran Lands Troops on Iraq Oil-Producing Island; Cuts Comm. lines!

At about 1:00 AM eastern US time Thursday, the Iranian military made an attack into neighboring Iraq, seizing the vital, oil-producing, Majnoon Island near Basra, Iraq.

Iranian military helicopters brought troops to the island by force.  Once on the island, the Iranians cut all communications in the seized land.  This action also cut communications between Amarah and Basra.

The map below shows the affected island area near Basra, Iraq:

Iran lost many troops due to Iraqi Chemical weapons.

Death by a thousand cuts. That is what Iran is planning on doing. If the US pulls out of Iraq, (and they will, a little at a time over to Saudi Arabia) then that will leave Iraq wide open for Iran to politically move in and win over the people and government to a pro Iran government where they will be able to link together against US interests in the region. Iran would love to be able to place (by proxy) their defense and offensive systems inside Iraq and perhaps have their own military occupy the very bases the US is occupying now.

1933 Demonic Vision of H.G. Wells

"After the Second World War, the United Nations will be the second attempt at World Government, but Wells understands that this attempt will also not be successful. Thus, the plan for the 'Modern World State' would succeed in the third attempt ... and would come out of something that would occur in Basra, Iraq."

It’s a trap. Iran wants the US to respond militarily, and then Iran will counter, maybe by taking out our jets. Remember, the Patriot missile defense systems were useless against Iranian missiles. Do you think our bombers’ missile defenses will fare any better?

Considering Iran also depends on an island to keep a huge portion of their oil and economy moving, it seems a bit idiotic to tempt fate. Islands make great targets for bombers.

I might believe this attack if it was Hezbollah, but not from Iran - especially under current tensions. Were there any dancing Israeli's hanging around?

Grim, let's hope Trump avoids the trap. The democrap scum are trying to get him out and then we have a potential civil war brewing in Virginia. Oh yeah things are shaping up nicely. [SARCASM]
