I worked as a contractor to the Department of State Airwing in Afghanistan for DynCorp International.

My job was located at the U.S Embassy (so I know that place very well). My job was to plan the aviation missions for State Department. All the BLUE AND WHITE and GREY CH-46s belong to the State Department Airwing.

I also sat and ADVISED during table top excercises regarding evacuation of all U.S. Non-mission essential personnel and mission essential personnel. Simply because some of us knew the reality of what would eventually happen. I know this job and I know this mission very well, because I help plan this in the office with the Senior Aviation Advisor and His deputy.

It pains me to see that this is actually happening. I really with I was there now, because I knew what my role was and it was command and control on the ground for State Airwing assets and direct communication with the 46s.
