Catastrophic FLASH FLOODING Hits Ruidoso, New Mexico

Just days after south-central Texas suffered horrifying flooding and deaths, Ruidoso, New Mexico is facing similar catastrophic flooding.

Ruidoso, New Mexico is underwater.

A sudden river surge sent waters up 20 feet in just half an hour, flooding homes fast.

Emergency crews are scrambling.

Streets are rivers. Homes are swamped.

There is a Flash Flood Emergency warning people to get to higher ground.

Videos tell the story:

CATASTROPHIC FLOODING in New Mexico — An entire home swept away by the raging Ruidoso River. The water level has risen 20 FEET in a matter of 30 minutes, shattering previous records, per @MaxVelocityWX

Below, video showing the very first stage of the massive flooding, made a hundred times worse as tree debris, which washed down hills from the intense rain.  The fallen tree debris leads the way of the flash flood, then BLOCKS THE CREEK at a bridge, sending all the incoming water over the creek banks in a raging torrent:

A father and two children were washed away by floodwaters in Lincoln, New Mexico, as the Rio Ruidoso experienced an unprecedented 17-foot surge in just 20 minutes.

Multiple rescues are underway at Gavilan Trailer Park in Ruidoso with another person trapped in high water as homes begin moving in the current.

NWS Albuquerque: "Homes starting to be moved by water. Stay away from the river! Seek higher ground NOW!" The river gauge shows water levels "extremely above" historic averages, reaching 18.10 feet at 3:45 PM MDT.

The 30-mile-long river southeast of Albuquerque transformed from normal flow to catastrophic flooding in minutes.
