Heavy Wet Snow TODAY- Less than three hours away for Northeast

Heavy Wet Snow TODAY- Less than three hours away for Northeast

National Weather Service forecasters are confirming New York City and much of the northeast will be hit with heavy, wet, snow beginning today within three hours. Reaching NYC around 1:00 PM this afternoon.  Accumulations of 2-5" before change to rain.

That means much of this afternoon will be travel-trouble.  Get your shopping done right away this morning and hunker down.

As the storm passes, the Weather people say HIGH WINDS will follow.  20-30 MPH winds with gusts up to 60 MPH all day Sunday.  This can cause trees to topple, taking out power lines.  So have your generator ready and have fuel for it.  Bring in some fire wood for your wood burning stove or fireplace just in case.
