Earlier this week, I did a story about Ukraine hitting a Bakery in Russia, killing 25+ people. That got me thinking "I haven't been to the bakery in years." So this morning, I went. . .
Now, I live in North Bergen, NJ but the town I grew up in, Ridgefield Park, is about 7 miles north. And it has been a practice of mine over the 32 years I've lived here, to drive up to my old town and go to the Bakery that my family has gone to since 1966 when we moved there.
Back then, it was named "Cooper's" Bakery, but maybe twenty years ago, it was bought-out and became "Palermo's" Bakery. Always good stuff.
Now, I haven't gone to the bakery in a couple years; it just kinda fell out of normal routine for me. But since I had been reminded about Bakeries from the news story in Russia, I decided I was going.
So I drive up to Ridgefield Park this morning, park the car, and walk up to the bakery. It's closed. As in gone. As in not there anymore. Here's the sign in the door:
This is the first time since the year 1966 there hasn't been a bakery in that place. I felt genuine sadness. It was like the end of an era or something . . . Friggin Joe Biden and his wonderful economy.
Anyway, I get in the car and come back toward North Bergen, and I recall there's this little bakery off my street, Paterson Plank Road, but about two miles from my house in the town of Secaucus. So I head over toward there.
It's open! I park and go in.
I get 4 Hard Rolls, 4 Crumb Buns, 4 Apple Turnovers -- because they didn't have the powdered jelly donuts I would normally have gotten.
The girl rings it up: $29.40

THIS is what Joe Biden and his illegitimate regime are doing to this country. You can't even go to the Bakery anymore without taking a ridiculous hit in the wallet!
I'm telling you folks, Voting for Joe Biden again would be like the Titanic backing up to hit the iceberg again.
