Tropical Storm "Erin" has formed in the Atlantic Ocean off the West Coast of Africa. It is moving west toward North America and is expected to become a "Major" Hurricane by this Sunday.
From the National Hurricane Center:
It is still far too early to determine if or where the storm may strike; but for those along the US East Coast, now would be a good time to check on your "Preps:"
- Emergency food, water, medicine you need to live on.
- A generator to keep your refrigerator running if the electric goes out. Fuel for that generator.
- A way to COOK if electric power is out; a propane barbecue grill or an extra bag of charcoal and lighter fluid for a traditional outdoor grill.
- A flashlight for each family member, with spare batteries for each light.
- A portable radio with spare batteries to keep informed about news and official information.
Hal Turner Remarks
Of course, the general public, whom I often refer to as "the masses who are asses" will usually do nothing until the storm is directly bearing down on them. Then they rush out a couple hours before the storm makes landfall and find the supermarkets empty and gas stations sold out of fuel.
Don't be like them. Get prepped now.
