IT'S OFFICIAL: WIND CHILL WATCH ISSUED FOR -50° F

As of 12:37 PM eastern standard time in New York City on Sunday, 18 December, the National Weather Service in SOUTH DAKOTA has issued a "Wind Chill Watch" for mid-thru-late-this-week, for Wind Chills reaching to FIFTY BELOW ZERO, as a Polar Vortex begins dipping from the north pole into the USA.

Yes, you read that correctly, wind chills reaching -50° F.    Here is the official warning for southwestern South Dakota, the Black Hills, and northern Wyoming:

IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 minutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
