The Judge in the so-called "Hush Money" Business Records Felony Case of Donald Trump, emailed both sides today alerting them to a potential problem with the Jury; one or more Jurors may have decided to convict before the case was over.
New York Acting Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan sent an email alerting both sides to THIS posting which appeared on the New York State Unified Court System (UCS) FaceBook Page one day BEFORE the Conviction took place:
Jurors are not permitted to actually commence deliberations until AFTER the case ends, and they must also not discuss the case with each other - or with outsiders - before the case ends and they are properly instructed on the law.
It now seems that almost ALL the jurors in the Trump trial, broke those two instructions from the court! After all, how could one Juror tell his cousin "Trump is getting convicted" one day before the conviction actually happened unless they all discussed the case and decided before the case was over?
Judge Merchan sent the following to both sides, via email:
This could be the basis for the Jury Verdict to be VACATED and a Mis-trial declared. Juror misconduct.
It is certainly an appeal issue for Trump, and perhaps may delay his Sentencing Hearing scheduled for July 11.
