One year ago today, chaos erupted in Butler, Pennsylvania during a Trump campaign rally, when a lone gunman made an assassination attempt on President Trump. Here’s a look back at the scene.
On July 13, 2024, at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Trump turned to look at a chart when shots rang out from a rooftop. He flinched, touched his ear, saw blood, then ducked behind the podium like it was just another Tuesday.
The FBI confirmed he was grazed by a bullet on the ear.
One year ago today, President Trump was shot while speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. He immediately rose to his feet in defiance and urged his supporters to “fight, fight, fight.”
Days later, he showed up at the RNC with a bandage and gave his speech anyway.
One bullet. One speech. One wild year since.
Just a few months later, he was elected once again as President of the United States.
Exactly one year ago and we still have virtually zero info on the guy who tried to assassinate President Trump:

Earlier non-incident photo:

Sitting in the stands behind President Trump were many people, one of whome was COrey COmperatore, who was shot and killed:

Every political rally, every town hall, and every public gathering now carries the weight of that July afternoon. That day is a stark reminder that we must do everything we can to prevent political violence.
