The strike by the Longshoremen's Union, has ended . . . until January 25, 2025. Workers have agreed to a sixty-two percent (62%) wage increase over 6 years as a condition for going back to work today.
The Union agreed to extend the current contract until January 25, to allow time to work out the other issues being negotiated.
The ports are back in service this morning on the US east coast and Gulf Coast. The freight is moving once again.
