2:58 AM EDT OCTOBER 16, 2025 -- I just got woken up by a source from the US Department of Agriculture telling me letters have gone out from fedgov to the states, instructing them to "pause" SNAP and EBT payments starting November 1. I expect riots to begin, nationwide, on that same day or shortly thereafter.
The letter points out that this is related to the ongoing Government shut down -- caused by Democrats refusing to approve a continuing resolution to continue funding government operations. It goes on to say:
". . . Considering the operational issues and constraints that exist in automated systems, and in the interest of preserving maximum flexibility, we are forced to direct states to hold their November issuance."
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides food help to forty two million people. One wonders how many of ___ them ___ are predisposed to violent outbursts, who may gleefully join in riots?
