Much to my happy surprise, my three biggest customers all called this morning for snow plowing. My son and I went out around 10:00 AM to start. Got home about 2:30 PM.
Four hours, a few bucks extra for Christmas! Well, if they pay the bill fast. Anyway, its money on paper so that's good.
Truck operated flawlessly. 2001 Dodge RAM 1500 Sport with 5.9 liter gasoline engine and 144,000 miles on it - still making money. OK, it was loud because the pipe going into the muffle rotted and broke on the way to NJ from PA yesterday, so that will cost a couple bucks to fix, but it would have happened anyway, so no big deal.
Glad I got the work. Will help pay the costs for the new Transmission last year, and for the new ignition coil this year. Oh. wait. Then there's the auto insurance and the registration fees. HMMMMMM. Isn't covering its costs so well. Maybe not actually making money . . . . gotta do the math again. May have to raise my prices.
Why not? Everyone else certainly has raised theirs!
