Three Killed on Paterson Plank Road in Head-on Crash "Over 100 MPH"

A 23 year old Jersey City, NJ man is under arrest after a head-on crash that killed 3 and critically injured a fourth person on Paterson Plank Road. Data (from his car?) shows he was going "over 100 Miles Per Hour."  The Speed Limit on that section of road is 25 MPH.

Ziyang Wang, of Jersey City, is charged with three counts of second-degree reckless manslaughter (Five to ten years prison for each count), three counts of second-degree death by auto (up to 10 years prison for each count) and one count of assault by auto, a fourth-degree offense.

 

The 23-year-old was arrested by members of the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit at Jersey City Medical Center, where he will remain in custody until medically cleared, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

As of this crash, a total of eight people have died on this section of Paterson Plank Road in the past five years.  This section of road runs  between Union City, Jersey City, and Hoboken.
