Ben and Jerry's Ice cream, ever the left-wing cesspool of corporate America, tweeted yesterday - The Fourth of July - that "This 4th of July, it's high time we recognize that the US exists on stolen Indigenous land and commit to returning it."
(HT Personal Opinion: This company is literal proof that you can actually be stupid, and still make a ton of money in America. )
Consumers are now deciding whether or not Ben & Jerry's should get the "Bud Light Treatment" and stop buying their products.
Whereas Bud Light merely embraced the mentally ill "Trans-Gendered" deviancy, Ben & Jerry's thinks our entire country - and presumably our way of life - should be given back to the wretched Indians who did nothing with it for centuries!
Unilever, a British-Dutch conglomerate, acquired Ben & Jerry's, an American ice cream maker with a social mission and a niche market, in 2000 for $326 million.
The acquisition agreement recognized the right of Ben & Jerry's independent board to oversee its social and environmental goals, while Unilever used its global network and supply chains to expand the brand's presence.
However, the agreement also created tensions between Unilever's fiduciary duty to its shareholders and Ben & Jerry's board's decisions that could affect Unilever's other businesses.
Perhaps it's time to send Ben & Jerry's to the ash heap of history by not buying their products anymore? After all, if they got their wish, American wouldn't be American anymore, so why should America support Ben & Jerry's?
