Treausry Secretary: "Will Need Extraordinary Measures in January to Avoid US Debt Default"

US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has said the United States will reach its debt limit between January 14 and 23 unless Congress takes action.

When that takes place, the US Treasury will have to commence "Extraordinary Measures" to continue paying its bills and not default on the US Debt.

Stock Markets gave a noticeable, and grim,. signal on Friday, with the S&P 500 not recovering a prior loss, as shown in the chart above.

This signal could mean the markets know trouble is coming.
