Trump Invokes "Roosevelt Reservation" Putting Southern Border Under MILITARY Control

President Donald Trump today invoked the "Roosevelt Reservation" along 700 miles of the US southern border, in California, Arizona, and New Mexico, and turned that land over to the Military!

The Roosevelt Reservation is the 60-foot (18 m)-wide strip of land owned by the United States Federal Government along the United States side of the United States–Mexico Border in three of the four border states. Federal and tribal lands make up 632 miles (1,017 km), or approximately 33 percent, of the nearly 2,000 miles (3,200 km) total. Private and state-owned lands constitute the remaining 67 percent of the border, most of which is located in Texas.

In 1907, Theodore Roosevelt in a Presidential Proclamation (35 Stat. 2136) established the reservation in order to keep all public lands along the border in California, Arizona, and New Mexico "free from obstruction as a protection against the smuggling of goods between the United States and Mexico".  Texas was excluded because Texas retained all public lands upon the Texas annexation and admittance as a state, much of which has been sold over the years to private parties.

Construction of the Mexico–United States border wall along the border in the states of California, Arizona, and New Mexico was expedited since the reservation reduced the need to acquire additional private property.

WHAT TRUMP'S ACTION DOES . . .

Now, if an illegal alien, Drug Smuggler, or Human Trafficker enters that area, the military can grab him without involving civilian law enforcement or civilian courts!  No more District Court Judges interfering!! 

The "Roosevelt Reservation" makes a 60 foot wide section along the US Border, federal-controlled property.  Trump issued a memorandum today turning that land over for "military operations:"

The military can grab-up whoever goes there, without having to bother with civilian anything because the land is now military land.

I am told by a single source that this had to be done because of the DRUG CARTELS.   Many areas along the "Roosevelt Reservation" are hilly terrain where smugglers can hide and dodge detection.  There are also allegedly underground tunnels throughout that area.

NOW, the military can do whatever it has to to secure that land because it's THEIRS!
