Photos of the flag at US State Department building flying upside down surfaced on social media on Wednesday.
This comes as President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning transgender athletes from participating in women's sports, but it is not yet known if the upside down flag is related to that action.
It also took place after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin (Millekowski) Netanyahu stood next to President Trump in the White House. Netanyahu is a Wanted Man by the International Criminal Court for Genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.
During that visit, President Trump lamented that "Gaza is destroyed" and suggested Palestinians will "have to leave" while standing next to the very man who actually ordered it! It is not known if the flag flying upside down was related to that, either.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk-led DOGE has been criticizing the USAID for alleged 'corruption' and 'mismanaged' finances.
Neither the US State Department nor the White House have responded to the claims.
