What if these missiles don't land in the ocean, but instead enter the US with live warheads, and begin hitting targets?
All of this trouble is taking place because the United States government is meddling in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Instead of minding our own business, we are supplying weapons, intelligence, reconnaissance, mercenaries, and cash to Ukraine, so they can kill Russians.
Russia is now so fed-up with US (and our NATO vassals) interfering in Ukraine, that they are now launching missiles to IMPACT in the Oakland Air Route Traffic Control Center area, as a warning to us that Russia is at our doorstep, and ready to hit **us** if we keep meddling in their affairs.
Our own government is misbehaving in a way that is now endangering ALL our lives.
