Some Supermarkets in the U.S. Midwest are telling customers "CASH ONLY" as something has gone wrong with credit card processing. VISA is showing outages reported by Downdetector.
Reports are starting to roll in about some type of credit card outage. Readers/Listeners from the Midwest have reported that KROGER Supermarkets near them are telling customers "CASH ONLY."
The "DownDetector" map at top, shows outage reports coming in, regarding VISA, in many areas of the USA.

UPDATE 4:40 PM EDT --
Readers from IOWA are reporting this outage is affecting gas stations too. One reader claims he went to three different gas stations and was told "Cash Only."
-- Turkey Hill convenience store in York, PA, systems down --- cash only.
-- In Omaha, NE, and all the Casey’s are down, too.
-- Dayton OH: All Speedways are only accepting cash
