1:00 PM EDT -- Hurricane Milton continues its approach to the Gulf Coast of Florida and the National Hurricane Center is alerting that "Tropical Storm Force winds are now "just offshore."" Such winds are from 39 to 73 MPH.

Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall overnight tonight near Tampa, Florida.
It is expected to to cause a "Storm Surge" as it is coming ashore, which will cause
10 to 15 feet of water to come inland before and during the eye coming onto land.
This surge of water, literally being BLOWN-IN from the Gulf of Mexico, will inundate
land areas, knocking houses off their foundations, causing cars and trucks to float away,
and pretty much destroying almost everything in its path.
Folks in low-lying areas have been repeatedly warned to EVACUATE. Most have; some few have
not. Those who will not leave are being offered help in getting out, but most of them
decline those offers, thinking they will simply ride-out the storm at home.
Officials have openly told people who refuse to leave "Take a permanent marker, like a Sharpie,
and write your name and your social security number on your forearm or on your leg, so when
we find your dead body, we will know who you are."
Stupid is as stupid does, and from what we hear, there's a hefty amount of stupid going
on right now in and around Tampa.
It's as if the mental capacity of these people is so limited, so puny, they cannot grasp
that they are in mortal danger. Since their little minds cannot comprehend it, therefore
it must not be true.
There's an AWFUL LOT of stupid going around nowadays.
Nature has a way of getting rid of things that are just too dumb to be alive.
When most of these Beavis and Butthead-type folks get killed by this storm - and MANY will --
we should look at it as a positive; they won't be contributing to the Gene pool anymore, and the
rest of us won't be forced to support them either!
