A paying subscriber last night, HACKED the user comment area of this web site, disabling the ability for Subscribers to post comments. They sent a series of PHP computer code commands in, via the comment area, and somehow caused the rest of the web site system to do something it should not have.
This also did damage to other areas of the site; the news headlines on the main page are also not displaying in the right column.
I am aware that the comments feature is no longer working. Apparently THAT was their intent; they didn't like the comments YOU were making, so they intentionally damaged the site to prevent YOU from having your say!
I am not certain (yet) how to fix this.
Just be aware that the trouble is malicious, and that my tech guy will begin working on it this weekend.
Thankfully, the logs will also let us see who did it.
When we find out, that individual will be dealt with.
